Holiday parties are all about food and cocktails and this champagne cocktail will be the hit of the party! It is basically an appletini in a form of a champagne cocktail.

It’s slightly sweet, slightly sour, pleasantly bubbly, and quite boozy! Not to mention that is absolutely beautiful.

What’s great about his simple cocktail if that it would be perfect for a New Year’s Eve, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day, and even July 4th alike! It’s an all-year-long party drink.

You can easily make any sized batch to fit your party, so feel free to double or triple the recipe as needed. And, to make it easy on yourself, the appletini portion is easy to make ahead and store in the refrigerator.

What Champagne to Use?

This is not a sweet cocktail so you can take it a little bit sweeter or a little less sweet by using different champagne or prosecco. Personally, I prefer brut champagne.

Brut champagne is slightly less sweet than extra dry champagne, and much less sweet than dry champagne. If you do want ta touch more sweetness, use dry champagne.

If you don’t have the option to use champagne, use dry prosecco. Prosecco is usually less sweet than champagne, and it also has fruity and floral hints of flavor as a delicious bonus!

How to Make It Ahead Of Time?

This is an easy cocktail to make ahead! Mix the appletini ingredients together, which is everything except for champagne, in the cocktail shaker. (NO ice!) Close it and put it in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Then ready, add a few ice cubes to the cocktail shaker, shake it well and then divide it among the glasses. Top it off with champagne and serve.
