A sweet, scrumptious dessert for St. Patrick’s Day. Refreshing Creamy Mint Chocolate Chip milkshake that everyone will enjoy…and it’s skinny!

St. Patrick's Day Milkshake in a glass cup with whip cream and green sprinkles on top with a green and white straw

Have you ever made something just so you can use a new dish or a new appliance? Yeap, I do that every time I get a new “toy.” The second I bring it home, I search for something to make. In this case, I got a couple of new toys…

I got a new Magic Bullet! I can’t tell you how many times I went back and forward about getting it. Hubby actually got one for me for Christmas, but I ultimately decided to return it since I still had a Ninja. But see, my Ninja is like a million years old and not as sharp anymore. Needless to say, it has some performance issues. So after thinking about it for two months, I ran out and got the Magic Bullet with the gift card that I got from returning it in the first place…how ironic.

The second new “toys” are those adorable green striped St. Patrick’s Day straws that you see in the photo. I’ve been walking by them at Target for the past couple of weeks and finally couldn’t help myself any longer. I think that they are just too cute and I had to have them!

I couldn’t wait to get home and try it out so I decided to make a milkshake for the little man and myself. I wanted to make it skinny so I searched for frozen yogurt in a mint flavor. Shockingly, almost every brand had a mint or mint chocolate chip flavor of frozen yogurt. I guess it becomes a popular flavor during this time of year. How lucky for us! (Get it?)

I love my Ninja – it is one of the “mini” ones, and I use it at least three times every day. You are so right; we bakers love our kitchen toys! 🙂 This is the perfect treat (for any time in my book!) – creamy, minty, and not too bad for you! P.S. Love your instructions 🙂

    1. I have the big and the small one 🙂 I love them and I wish that I could sharpen the blades. I used to make my own baby food and used it daily!
      Thank you!

  8. skinny and milkshake! Yes please!! Pinned… This is making me hungry right now. I want a milkshake at 9am ;o)

    1. Hehe, thank you Emily!

Lyuba, you are going to LOVE your magic bullet! Even in the many years to come… I’ve had mine the first year they came out with. (It still looks and acts brand new!) I don’t even need a blender. It does everything! And, I know you’re already thinking of so many more things to *blend* up. Am I right? My boys (and myself) love mint anything… so I simply can’t wait to whip and blend this up!

    1. I’m glad to hear that, Gloria! Thank you! The only drawback is the size. I still have my Ninja because it so big (I have a small one two). When I make smooth soup or apple sauce, I need my big Ninja 🙂
      Thank you!!
