Delicious and fresh Green Apple Avocado Green Smoothie. Perfect afternoon healthy snack made with fresh green apples, creamy avocado, light yogurt and honey. Packed with vitamins and nutrients!

Green Apple Avocado Green Smoothie with apples next to the outside of the glass

I’ve been loving smoothies lately, not that I haven’t before but I used to rarely make them. Now, I make myself a smoothie almost every day, after gym. I make smoothies as a snack or breakfast sometimes. This has given me some fun opportunities to play around with great flavors combinations. The winning recipes I wrote down and took pictures. Now, I’m sharing one of them.

When you are making your green smoothie, peeling the apples is up to you. It will alter the texture of the smoothie if you choose to leave the skin on but it will also keep most of the vitamins in the smoothie. If you don’t mind the texture, I recommend keeping the skin and just coring the apples.

It’s the same premise as juicing your fruit. Fresh juice is great BUT most people forget that you leave most of the vitamins and fiber behind in the skin and meat of the fruit. Make fresh juice but don’t forget to eat an actual fruit as well because you need all those vitamins and fiber from the skin and meat!!

  1. It’s awesome. Sounds a bit odd… but it’s incredibly delicious.

    1. Glad you liked it, Joseph!

  2. 4 stars
Thanks for sharing the recipe. I used coconut milk instead of dairy and used vanilla skyr instead of lite yogurt (overall, I gained 4 grams of protein). Also added some Trader Joe’s Concentrated Greens for some more “green goodness.” To get the consistency I want, I’ll peel the apples next time.

    1. Sounds like you got a good smoothie too! I love the concentrated greens too 🙂
      Thank you!

  3. This is a GREAT recipe !…I’ve made this smoothie, for a long time…only difference is I add a TINY bit of seeded, chopped organic cucumber. ..and I add a small amount of diced celery as well. …the color is what makes this smoothie so appealing. I also DO peel the apple, Ive done it both ways , prefer without the peel. I had others ask me on FB ( when I posted this very same smoothie that I make ) about the ‘ color’…I told them its from using the apple !This is one of the most refreshing smoothies, I garnish it with an apple wedge. I drink a lot of different smoothies , also make one with oranges, 1/2 of a frozen banana , Fage yogurt, and your choice of milk..and of course..THE AVOCADO ! delish .

    1. Thank you so much, Shelby! I’ll have to give your version a try sometime; it sounds delicious.
