Winter cocktail to warm your body and your soul! HOT red wine sangria made in a crock pot, spiced with cinnamon and cloves, and flavored with fresh orange and cranberries.
Drinking this Sangria is like drinking Christmas! If you want to feel festive, or if the holidays passed already and you miss it, definitely make a batch of this easy, hot sangria and enjoy the holidays. There is something magical in this combination of cinnamon and clove spice with orange and cranberry flavors. Every time you take a sip and smell this drink, you can actually feel the holidays. It warms your entire body immediately too. It’s a big mug of comfort all over.
This Sangria will be absolutely perfect for both, holiday parties or a quiet evening. It’s very conveniently made in a crock pot and you can easily keep it warm throughout the evening. I’m actually already planning on making it for our family Christmas dinner and our housewarming party.
Yeap, we get to have a housewarming party in just a couple of months! I may have mentioned earlier that we’ve been searching for a house and we found one we liked. Stars happened to line the right way for us so far. But until we have the keys in hand, I can’t quite relax. I’ve heard all the nightmare stories of things going wrong, so we are still holding our breath in hopes of a smooth road to closing. (Although, it hasn’t quite stopped me from decorating and planning in my head.)
Crock Pot Spiced Orange Cranberry Sangria

- 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8-10 whole cloves
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/4 cup sugar more or less to taste
Instructions
- Pour wine and cranberry juice into the crock pot.
- Slice orange and add it to the wine.
- Add cranberries, cinnamon sticks, cloves and sugar. Stir well and cover.
- Cook on high for 2-3 hours and turn it down to "warm." You can keep it warm if you are serving it at the party or dinner. You can also turn it off and enjoy immediately.

I am going to make this this year….question….pure cranberry juice or cranberry cocktail?
This will change the sugar content and flavour….I wonder what you used.
LyubaB says
I always use pure cranberry but I think it will be okay if you can only find the cocktail juice.

So this recipe sounds amazing. but could you use sugar instead of sweet and low. I don’t use that stuff.
