PROTEIN SHAKE

I am all about the Olympics now. Have you been watching it? Did you see the opening ceremony? It thought it was beautiful. Now they keep showing figure skating and ice dancing and I have been useless. It’s my favorite Olympic sport to watch and I actually like winter Olympics much better than summer. So everything I do, takes me forever because I’ve been watching it non-stop. Confession, I didn’t even make it to the gym today because it’s taking me forever to finish all I had planned. I will just have to do some yoga tonight.

Speaking of the gym, I make myself a nice protein shake every time I get home from a workout. I love my protein shakes but I always look for a good way to variate them. I usually try different ways to add flavor and I got a brilliant idea the other day. Outshine frozen fruit bars!!

It really was a brilliant idea because I don’t need to use ice and these Outshine bars are made with real strawberries. These bars are also a great source of vitamin C, they are non-fat and only 70 calories.

This shake is not only loaded with fruit and vitamin C, it’s loaded with protein. Almonds and Greek yogurt are both great sources of protein, in addition to the protein powder. This is a great shake to make after a workout or just as a filling, healthy snack!
