I have an adorable and delicious Easter treat to share. These are Oreo Truffles made with golden marshmallow crispy Oreos and marshmallow fluff, and then coated in colorful candy coating. Such a perfect treat for Spring holidays!
Oreo truffles became one of our favorite treats ever since we made the Peppermint ones for Christmas. They are so easy to make, don’t require any baking and so much fun to play around with different flavors. You simply mix crushed Oreo cookies with cream cheese, roll them into balls, refrigerate and coat in chocolate or candy melts. Try adding different flavors inside too, like mini chocolate chips, nuts, caramels and so much more.
Making these truffles can be a fun afternoon with kids. Have them help you decorate the truffles with different sprinkles or drizzle with different color icing. Best part is that you can play around with flavors and colors. Like here, I made pastel colors for an Easter celebration.
We have a Spring party coming up in my son’s class and I’m still trying to decide on the treats for the kids. I’ve already made the Flower Bed Cake and it’s definitely a great choice. But these Oreo Truffles were very popular. I brought them to his class as a special treat and I didn’t think that I would get out alive. Kids swarmed me when they saw them, screaming “I want the pink one,” “I want the blue one…” I’m just glad that I brought enough! Our class is full of picky kids and I’m happy to say that they all ate them in a flash!
Easter Marshmallow Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
- 17 oz pack of Marshmallow crispy Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/3 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 cup Pink candy melts
- 1 cup blue candy melts
- 1 cup yellow candy melts
Instructions
- Pulse the Oreo cookies in a blender or food processor until you get coarse crumbs.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix Oreo crumbs, softened cream cheese and marshmallow fluff until all evenly combined.
- Using a standard cookie scoop, scoop out the dough and roll it into balls. Place them on a large parchment paper covered cutting board.
- Put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the candy melts in separate, microwave safe containers, according to the package. (Remember to melt them on half power if using a microwave.)
- Dip the dough balls in the melted candy coating and place them back onto the parchment paper to solidify.
- Keep covered, in the refrigerator.

I want to make these for a large family party but I don’t see in the recipe how many it makes.
I also plan to roll them as close to egg shape as possible.

Your recipe for marshmallow Oreo truffles call for marshmallow fluff. Is this the same as marshmallow creme?
lyuba says
Yes, I believe so, Sue. It comes in a light plastic jar.
