It’s been too long since I’ve shared any kind of coffee drink with you. This is one of my favorite ways to drink my coffee! Cinnamon Dolce Coffee Drink is made with homemade cinnamon dolce syrup and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon/sugar mixture.
I’m enjoying this wonderful drink as we speak and I think that everyone needs to have it or know how to make it! I haven’t met a person who didn’t like cinnamon yet so I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
You don’t have to spend much time of this coffee either. I just make a batch of the Cinnamon Dolce syrup over the weekend and it lasts us through the week. I also take shortcuts with the latte.
Traditionally, a latte is made with espresso and steamed milk. “Ain’t nobody got time for that” on a weekday morning, right?! Hehe…
I just brew some strong coffee and add some hot milk. On the weekend, I make it all fancy with whipped cream and cinnamon/sugar sprinkle!
I’ve been making my own pancake syrups for the longest time but I don’t know why I haven’t been making my own coffee syrups. I started with this Cinnamon Dolce syrup and I tell you what….I’m not going back!! It’s so easy and YUMMY!
{Homemade Cinnamon Dolce Syrup}
Ingredients
- Cinnamon Dolce Syrup:

Please excuse me if this sounds a little out there, but do you make coffee with steamed milk and then add the syrup? If so, how much?
lyuba says
Actually, I just add some syrup and milk after the coffee is brewed. The amount of milk (and syrup) is really up to you. Some people prefer more milk and more sweet than others. I only like to add a little milk, like a tablespoon and about a couple of teaspoons of syrup. My husband, on the other hand, prefers sweeter coffee so he adds more syrup.

was it supposed to get like a syrup consistency? Mine never did but it tasted great, just stayed a liquid. Do you want it boiling or not boiling for the 5 mintues?
lyuba says
Oh no, it wasn’t very thick. Since it’s meant for coffee and not really pancakes, it wasn’t supposed to be think and syrupy 🙂
Jacquelyn says
so how long does this keep and do you store it on the shelf in fridge?
lyuba says
Yes, keep it in the fridge just in case. I would estimate a couple of weeks. It is essentially cinnamon, water and sugar.

Hi Lyuba! What a wonderful way to spice up your coffee! Can you use the syrup for pancakes? I’ve given up drinking coffee but I am going to have it occasionally and I will try it with this syrup! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!
lyuba says
So sorry for a late response, Felecia! You can use it on pancakes but it’s not very thick so it will get absolved faster 🙂

Delicious, Lyuba! I’ve worked in a couple coffee shops but I never take the time to make my own delicious coffee drinks. I need to change that!!

What a perfect way to end a meal – or anytime!! Can’t wait to try it. Do you have your pancake syrup recipe on your website? I’d love to have it if you want to share. By the way, do you have any recipe that would be good with fried sea trout? We were fishing in the ocean and were lucky to come home with some. Our children want us to have a fall party and share with them. I think this is an excellent idea but I’d like to come up with something different along with it.

Hi, Marisa!
I do have three homemade pancake syrups. Unfortunately, I don’t have a recipe for a trout. I’m sorry. My favorite way to prepare fish is lightly floured, lightly seasoned, some herbs and pan fried. You can also make a light (not creamy, I mean) caper sauce for it.
