Last Minute Gift For Coffee Lovers, Latte Decorative Kitchen Towel (tutorial) #DeliciousPairings

Have you guys seen that commercial about “what kind of holiday shopper are you”? I am the list maker! I love lists for everything, my memory is just not the way it used to be B.C. (before child). It also makes me feel organized. My thoughts are way to disorganized not to get them down on paper. So, I make my holiday list and checking it twice (one for bought, one for wrapped)! I am not crazy, Miss A.! (I know that’s what you’re thinking.)
With Christmas only 4 days away, I did very well with my list. The little man is all checked, the family members are all checked and the big one is almost checked. I just had one more friend to check off and I knew just what to get her. She is a coffee and wine lover like me but I don’t know what wine we prefers. Starbucks on the other hand, is everyone’s favorite. They also have their Holiday blend out during the holidays which is perfect this time of year. I decided to make her a Coffee Lover’s Gift basket and I knew just what to put in it.
I needed some Starbucks Holiday blend coffee, some gingerbread cookies and a coffee mug set. I also made her a Latte decorative kitchen towel. The towel is very easy to make and makes a nice addition to a gift basket.
You will need:
A plain white kitchen towel (I actually used a blank, large bandana from Michael’s)
Pencil
Black Painter’s marker
Iron
~ First, find a picture of a cup of coffee that you like and print it.
~ Lay the towel over the picture, centered at the bottom. Trace the design with a pencil.
~ Using the black Painter’s maker, go over the design. (leave a paper under the towel because it will bleed through.) Let it dry.
~ Make sure to use heat to set in the paint. (use an iron)
That’s it! Simple and cute!
While packing up the gift basket, I couldn’t help but brew myself a cup of Starbucks Holiday blend. I already had some at home. Remember the giant bad I got a little while ago? I still have some left, even after drinking it every day! I do drink a lot of coffee… definitely need to brew it at home or it will get expensive.
The Holiday Blend has a sweet and spicy taste and would be paired perfectly with ginger, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange, and cloves flavors. Think cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, gingersnap cookies and snickerdoodles. I just happened to have some extra gingersnap cookies with the ones I was packing into the gift basket. Wink! The Holiday blend is complemented perfectly by the gingersnaps.
