Halloween is over! Happy November everyone!
Now, everyone is starting to think about Thanksgiving and of course, Christmas. The stores are already stocked with Christmas merchandise and we area on the lookout for gifts. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to afford Christmas gifts and that is why I am happy that there are programs and organizations that help those who are less fortunate.

This year Debt Free Spending is partnering with other bloggers, Blog Frog, and Operation Christmas Child to get as many families to donate shoe boxes as possible! Operation Christmas Child is a non-profit organization that has inspired millions to pack Christmas shoe-box gifts for children in developing countries around the world.
This is a first year that I participated in this program and I see myself doing it again next year. My little guy helps me pick out gifts for the “angels” during Christmas time (Ronald McDonald House) so I thought he would enjoy helping me with this project too.
Chocolate candy will be replaced with hard candy!!
