Steak with Cucumber Raita

“MMM…Steak night”, at least that is what my hubby says. Me, not so much. I am just not a big steak fan. I can eat a couple of peaces, but not much. So, I have been looking though my old cookbooks, trying to find a nice recipe involving steak that I would enjoy as well.
Found it!!!

Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup shredded fresh cucumber
3-4 medium leaves of mint (1-2 more for topping)
1 tbs chopped (or I prefer finely grated) sweet onion
Salt, pepper
1 lb Eye Round Steak
salt, pepper and  favorite seasoning for steak

Directions:
“Raita is a cooling salad of yogurt mixed with veggies or fruit, that is meant to sooth the highly seasoned dish”

1. Combine the yogurt, shredded cucumber, minced mint, grated onion, salt and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Mix well, set aside.

2. Cut the steak into thin long peaces. Saute in the preheated oiled skillet on medium. Season with your favorite seasoning while cooking.

3. After the steak is done, top with desired amount of Raita right before serving.

Enjoy!!
