Stuffed Peppers

I just want to say that I am so happy that I started this blog. Not only that this is a wonderful way for me to share my recipes and cooking tips with all my friends, BUT it also pushed me into trying new recipes and recipes that I would have never given a chance in the past.
I’ve also been pushed into trying new ingredients and new ways of making them! I love my blog, and I love trying new things! This is not so much a new recipe or an unusual recipe by any means, this is a recipe that I’ve always wondered about and was unsure to try.

Ingredients:
4 large bell peppers
1 lb of ground beef
1/2 lb of ground pork
2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/8 cup minced parsley
Salt, pepper, marjoram, rosemary
1 6 oz can of tomato sauce
2 cups of cooked orzo
1/2 cup of feta cheese for topping (or mix in if you want, my hubby doesn’t like feta, so I used it for topping)

Directions:
1. In a large skillet, heat up some oil (about 2 tbs)
2. Grate the garlic into oil and saute until fragrant. Add chopped onion. Cook until transparent

3. Mix ground beef and group pork together and add to the skillet
4. When the meat is almost cooked, add the spices and parsley

5. Add the tomato sauce

6. When the meat is cooked add the cooked orzo and mix well. Turn off heat

~ Preheat the oven to 350
7. Carefully cut off the tops of the bell peppers

8. Spoon mixture into the pepper, pack and over-stuff

9. Place the peppers standing up into a small casserole dish. Cover with foil and cook for 25-30 minutes.

Enjoy!!
