Last week I got a chance to review pizza from Rizzuto’s Pizza Night. I was not sure exactly what to expect. I’ve had pizza delivered from many pizza places, good and bad. I’ve had pizza from the frozen pizza section in the grocery store. I am actually not a big fan of the frozen pizza, just never got a good one.
This is a little bit different. You would order the pizza crust that comes in precooked. It comes in with sauce. You choose your own toppings and bake it for 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you like it. I like it nice and crispy.
After a long weekend, getting home on a Sunday night to an empty fridge was not fun. Being tired did not help. We were starving and wanted something fast. Perfect! I took out the crust from the fridge and made a very quick bacon cheese pizza. We are very picky about our pizza, and by hubby was very skeptical about trying the cause that came with the pizza and not homemade. But, we were pleasantly surprised. Nothing beats homemade, of course, but this was very good sauce and crust. I got the garlic crust, and we all know how much I love garlic, it was pretty darn good. I especially, liked the “ready in 15-17 minutes” part!
Since we had my baby sister staying with us for a week, I’ve decided to make us another nice pizza dinner when I got off work. I love, love, love to cook, but sometimes I do have nights after work that I just do not have any energy. This came in very handy!
I made Tomato Basil Pepperoni Pizza!!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped cherry tomatoes
2 tbs chopped fresh basil
2 garlic cloves
10-15 pepperoni slices
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Rizzuto Pizza crust
Rissuto Pizza sauce
Directions:
1. Combine basil, tomatoes and grated garlic in the bowl, mix well
2. Preheat the oven to 375
3. Spread the pizza sauce on the crust
4. Spread the cheese evenly on the crust
5. Spread the tomato basil mixture on the crust
6. Layer the pepperoni
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, depending on how crispy you like you pizza!
Viola!! Your dinner is ready!!
